The Queen of Crankiness

My mommy says that I have been a bad girl. Ok...maybe I was a little naughty and did something I shouldn't have, but I am cute, so sue me.
I kind of attacked my mom.
I was just sitting chilling out with her in bed, watching the tv, when my brother came into the room. I just really didn't want him there for some reason. I tried to let my feelings known through my growls, but no one was listening. He stayed in the room and it upset me.
So....I clawed my mom. I really wanted to bite her too, but I decided not to push it. Of course, that didn't stop me from nestling in her hair that night, like nothing had happened.
My mom came home from work today and showed me what I had done. She has claw marks on her hand and even a bruise on her arm from my freak out.
I am not really that ashamed of my act.
Maybe from now on, people will take me seriously.

I do what I want!

Mom! Will you please stop asking me why I keep hanging out in the bathtub?

I am 'The Meg'...I don't NEED to explain myself. If I want to hang out in the bathtub, I will hang out in the bathtub. You can't stop me.

A Cat by any other name...

We have a question for any kittys out there reading this.
Do your parents insist on making up stupid names for you every five seconds and calling you by them?
I don't think we can even count the names our parents have come up with for us to torure us.

Mine (Meg) include the following:
Megs, The Meg, Meggerdoodles, Crankygirl, NutMeg, Megatron, The Megginator, No Neck, Spazzy McGee, and my favorite...Walnuthead. (They are sooo mean to me.)

My brothers are: Jackalope, Jackers, Jackiekins, The Orange One, Cheesey McFatterton, Fatty Fatterton, Orangie, & CheekyBoy.

Where do they come up with this crap? Seriously.
The joke is on them though...you should HEAR the names we call them.....if only they spoke 'Kitty'.

The Cutest Thing EVER!

Finally!

Since the day my parents brought me home, I have made a habit of sleeping all wrapped up in my moms hair at night. Me and moms hair get along very well.
But, in the middle part of last year my mom went and cut all of her hair off without my permission. Because let's face it, I surely would not have given her permission to do such a lame thing.
Anyway. It's been a while since she cut her hair and it's finally long enough for me to 'nest' in once again.
Ahh...life is good.

Pretty Sneaky, Daddy!

Our daddy is pretty quick with the camera. I mean..if we would have known he was gonna snap this one, we surely would have ran for the hills. We like our pictures taken individually, not together. We give him credit for pulling this one off.

In other news...we got lots of catnip for christmas. Oh man. That is some good stuff. We have both been walking around in a catnip haze for days now. It's awesome.

Santa Claws

For the third year running...we have more presents under the tree, and in our stockings than our parents do. That's what us kittys are for though, right...to spoil. I do have to admit, and I think Jack will agree that the wrapping paper is the best part of Christmas.

Happy Holidays to our fellow Kitty Bloggers out there!

Take THAT!

If my silly brother thinks he can out 'cuddle' me...he is sadly mistaken.
The past 2 nights I have cuddled up and slept with my mommy from the second she went to bed, to the second she woke up. I know for a fact that Jack can not stand still for that long. (I wonder if that is why my mom calls him Mr Antsinthepants.)
Sorry, Jack...but you will not win this battle. Unless you start taking ritalin or a horse tranquilizer in the near future, you are toast!
I will even pull out all the stops and start purring more if I have to. You know mom can not resist the purring.

The Orange One Takes Over!

My sister is no longer the 'lovey dovey' one in our family. I have decided to take it upon myself to overpower her and become the family cuddlekins.
If my mom is on the couch, I am on the couch. If my daddy is in the kitchen, I am in the kitchen. If my mom is peeing...I am in the bathroom. I am no longer to be considered a 'recluse'. I am now a full blown attention hog...and loving it.
Watch out, Meg....

They're back!

For years now, my favorite toy has been pink sparkle Barbie mice. They are the best.

But for many months now, I haven't had any to play with.

At least, that is what I thought.

Last night, my parents went out to buy me some new toys....and while they were putting some new ones away, I saw that my daddy had a friggin' buttload of these mice stashed in a cupboard in the kitchen.

They saw how excited I got when I saw my much missed mices, and threw a few of them on the floor for me to play with.

That is just what I have been doing since yesterday afternoon......

Oh Barbie mice...I love you...to death!

Orangie goes on a diet

Our parents dragged us to the vets office this past week, much to our chagrin. Don't worry, it was only for a check up. Still....it was horrible.
Being shoved into that carrier...oh the horror!
Both me and my sister screamed the whole way there.
There was a new vet at the office who we hadn't seen before. She was very nice and talked about how 'Princess-like' my sister is...the biggest comments she had about ME, you ask? She wants my parents to put me on a diet. She called me chubby. The vet tech called me a 'Heavy Weight'. What is wrong with these people. I work out (play) like a fiend. How can I be overweight? My sister is the 'sedate' one of us...how come she isn't fat? I just don't get it. The whole thing was just all too humiliating.

Braveheart!

Everyone around here has a big laugh at what a little chickenshit I am, right?
Well, today out of nowhere, I had a brush with braveness. It was pretty sweet.

Me and my sister were hanging out on the balcony with our mom, minding our own business, when out of the blue, my sisters boyfriend, Peachy decided to make an unannounced visit. He jumped up on our balcony to say 'Hi'...and it pissed me off.
You know, it's MY turf and all.

Peachy tried to play nice...you know, sniffing eachother and whatnot. I was having none of that crap. I puffed myself all up and had a big ol' hissy fit on his ass. You should've seen him. He was scared. I actually scared someone. I don't think Meg was impressed, but my mom told me that as much as she likes Peachy, she was proud of me for not running and hiding under the blankets.

I am such a badass.

Americas Next Top Model....

My mom did one of my favorite things in the whole wide world this morning.
She brushed me. Ooohhhhh, how I LOVE being brushed. Love it, love it, love it!
I even purred.
Afterwards, I had to sit and admire what a fine job mom did with the brush.
I am so beautiful.

Tag...

We were tagged by the lovely furbabies over at 'The Zoo', so here goes: (sorry it took us so long.)

Here are the rules: The player of this game starts with "5 weird things/habits about yourself and your humans." At the end you need to choose 5 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave your victim a comment that says "you're tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Meg:

1.) I bite my nails.
2.) My favorite thing is warm clothes fresh from the dryer.
3.) I don't like people food. (How do they eat that crap?)
4.) I like hiding on my parents to see them freak out trying to find me.
5.) I like sitting in front of the door for no reason...just to make my parents wonder what's out there.

Jack:
1.) Playing is my life.
2.) I love sleeping under blankets...that is how I got the nickname, LUMP.
3.) I am scared of something about 70% of the time.
4.) I like going out on the balcony, but only under parental supervision. (See #3)
5.) My favorite spot to sleep is my parents dresser.

The Mom:
1) I bite my nails, too Meg.
2) I am useless without coffee
3) I can't sleep without kittys wrapped about my head.
4) My favorite things are catnaps.
5) I love Green

An Open Letter to our Mom

Mom. You are a ho. Yeah. You heard us correctly...a big ho.
Mom, don't think we don't smell the other cats on your when you come home from work....or go out to get the mail....or go to the store. We aren't stupid.
We notice the gang of cats hanging outside our place day and night.
How dare you go outside and pet these random cats and then come home and expect to pet US, too. EW. Do you really think we want their cooties?

And you wonder why we like our Daddy more. He knows how to keep his hands to himself...off the other kitty cats. While you on the other hand, run outside in the middle of the night in your pajamas to stop kitty cat fights. These fights are none of your concern, mom. You know WE aren't involved in them, so you should keep your ass inside with YOUR baby cats, and mind your own damn business.

Love,
Meg & Jack

A PS From Meg: And mom, I know 'Peachy' is my boyfriend and all....but we aren't married yet, so you don't have to go acting like his mother-in-law already. Geez.

Meg, Jack and the Holy Grail...and when I say Grail..

...I mean playtime.

There were once two cats. They were brother and sister and lived with their mom & dad. One cat, Meg, was black. One cat, Jack, was orange. They lived a good, happy life.

The problem was that their daddy worked a lot. This made them sad, because it meant that they didn't get in as much 'playtime' as they would like. Meg & Jack, one day sat down and tried to come up with a plan to make their daddy stay home and play with them. They thought and they thought for hours. They could come up with nothing. They thought they had already tried everything conceivable. They tried being extra cute. They tried blocking doorways. They tried playing by themselves. (Clearly not as fun.) They tried hiding keys. (Ok, they THOUGHT of hiding keys, but the fact that they didn't have opposible thumbs, stopped them from carrying out this fine idea.)

Then one day, Meg had an idea.
Meg: 'Why don't we just ASK daddy to stay and play with us?'
Jack: 'Yes. Yes! That is a great idea, Meg. I mean, WHO could deny these cheeks?!' *Pointing to his own puffy little cheeks*
Meg: 'How should we ask him?'
Jack: 'I am not sure yet.'
Meg: 'Umm..how about..."Bring out your dead..mice. Bring out your dead....mice!"'
Jack: 'Meg, that is just plain dumb. Our mice are already OUT. D'er!'

They decided they would ask their mom what she thought would be the best way to ask.

Mom: 'Guys. Daddy is very very tired when he gets home from work. He loves you, but he needs to sleep.'
Jack: 'Yeah, and WE need to play. Suck that! You're no help!'
Mom: 'Maybe bring him a gift?? A pepper plant maybe? You know how he loves peppers.'
Meg: 'Bring him a shrubbery?'
Mom: 'I guess...in a sense....'
Meg & Jack: 'Nah. We will just whine.'

The next morning, when their daddy got home, they jumped into action.
They danced circles around their daddy, wanting his attention. Meg followed daddy around and rubbed on walls. Jack had another plan.

Jack: 'Na!'
...a few seconds pass.
Jack: 'Na!'
...a few more seconds pass.
Jack: 'Na!'
Daddy: 'Don't you mean NI?'
Jack: 'Oh, for crying out loud. I am a cat, how damn picky can you be about my vocabulary? Na!'
Daddy: 'Do you want to play, Jack?'
Jack: 'Na!'
Mom: 'I think that means, hell yeah!'
Jack: 'Na!'
Daddy: 'Ok, Jack. We will play.'

The moral of the story?
To all you kittys out there who want to play....
Just become a Cat who says NA.

My Boyfriends back...

So, I see that orange brother of mine has been in here smacktalking me again. SOOOO not cool, dude. Bite me! Ooh, that's right. You did...that is why I have to keep screaming to our parents...Jackass!

In happier news, I have no pics to show you all this time, but me and my boyfriend, Peachy still have a 'thing'.
He sits outside on the sidewalk below, and I sit in the window...and we stare at eachother lovingly. Is this what love feels like?
He is such a handsome kitty. I think my mom really likes him too. Peachy is totally brown nosing her....running up to see her when she leaves for work, or goes to get the mail....she eats that shit up. My dad on the otherhand is being the typical overprotective father. He tries to makes sure Peachy doesn't 'get too close' to the door...you know...we might actually be able to sniff eachothers butts or something...heaven forbid!
